Installation Notes 

1.  Safety First: Allow the engine to cool completely before starting work. Wear appropriate safety gloves and eye protection.  

2.  Gather Tools: Have the correct tools ready, including a torque wrench, socket set, gasket scraper, and brake cleaner. 

3.  Remove Old Gasket: Disconnect any necessary components for access. Carefully remove the exhaust manifold. Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces on both the cylinder head and the exhaust manifold. Remove all old gasket material, carbon deposits, and debris. Ensure the surfaces are smooth and flat.  

4.  Inspect Components: Check the exhaust manifold and cylinder head mating surfaces for any warping, cracks, or damage. Replace components if necessary.  

5.  Install New Gasket: Position the new Sinotruk gasket (081V08901-0269) correctly onto the cylinder head, aligning it with the bolt holes. Avoid using any sealants unless specified by the manufacturer.  

6.  Reassemble Manifold: Carefully place the exhaust manifold back into position. Hand-tighten all bolts to hold the gasket in place.  

7.  Torque Bolts: Using a torque wrench, tighten the manifold bolts in the proper sequence and to the manufacturer's specified torque value (refer to Sinotruk service manual). This is critical to avoid warping the manifold or damaging the gasket.  

8.  Reconnect Components: Reattach any disconnected parts (e.g., exhaust pipes, brackets).  

9.  Check for Leaks: Start the engine and listen carefully for any exhaust leaks. Inspect around the manifold for visible signs of leaking gases.
