Genuine SINOTRUK HOWO Hollow Banjo Bolt (Oil / Fuel Line) – OEM No. 080V98150-0175

This is a genuine SINOTRUK hollow banjo bolt (OEM No. 080V98150-0175), commonly called a banjo screw or fluid passage bolt, used to connect oil feed/return lines, fuel lines or coolant passages on HOWO heavy-duty trucks — including HOWO 371 dump trucks with WD615.47 and D12 series engines (turbocharger oil inlet/outlet, fuel filter head, etc.).

Installation Notes

  • Replace crush washers:Always fit new copper or aluminum crush washers on both sides of the banjo fitting when installing a new hollow bolt — reusing old washers is the #1 cause of persistent seepage.
  • Clear the bore:Before installation, blow compressed air through the bolt's axial bore to confirm side ports are clear of machining debris or packing grit. A blocked passage can starve a turbocharger of oil.
  • Lubricate threads & washer face:Apply a thin film of clean engine oil to the threads and underside of the bolt head — this ensures accurate torque reading and helps the crush washers seat.
  • Torque correctly:Hollow bolts have reduced cross-section andmust notbe over-tightened. Typical torque for M12/M14 banjo bolts on SINOTRUK engines is30–45 N·m (22–33 ft-lb)— always verify with your workshop manual. Over-torquing will shear the bolt inside the expensive cast component.
  • Check for leaks:After reassembly, run the engine to operating temperature and inspect the banjo joint for weeping. Minor weeping that appears after the first heat cycle usually means the crush washers need re-tightening by a quarter-turn.
  • Orientation:Rotate the bolt so the side port(s) face into the fluid stream path / away from obstructions — some applications specify port orientation; check the old bolt's position before removal.
