Easy & Simple Installation Note

For a smooth installation process of your new rear exhaust manifold, follow these general guidelines. Always refer to the specific service manual for your vehicle model for detailed instructions and torque specifications

  1. Safety First: Ensure the engine is completely cool before starting any work. Disconnect the vehicle's battery to prevent any electrical issues.
  2. Gasket Cleanliness: Remove the old manifold carefully and thoroughly clean the cylinder head mating surface. All old gasket material must be removed to ensure a perfect seal.
  3. Use New Hardware: It is highly recommended to use new mounting bolts and a new exhaust gasket to ensure a proper, leak-free seal. Reusing old, stretched bolts is a common cause of future leaks.
  4. Proper Torque Sequence: When installing the new manifold, follow the manufacturer's recommended torque sequence and specifications. A typical torque value for exhaust manifold nuts can be around 49 ± 5 N·m. Tighten the nuts gradually in a criss-cross pattern from the center outwards to avoid warping the manifold.
  5. Final Check: After installation, double-check all connections. Reconnect the battery and start the engine, inspecting for any exhaust leaks around the manifold gasket.
